Another OpenCA error - PERL DB_File module requires db4-devel. This tutorial explains how to install db4 development package on CentOS & Ubuntu. > I am trying to install ikonboard on my site but my provider > apparently does not have db_file installed on the server. The 32-bit or 64-bit versions of nmake from this SDK, or the nmake from VC6 will work. Once again, we used this SDK because it uses the 64-bit version of MSVCRT.dll that ships with all 64-bit versions of Windows. This does not prevent it from running on a 64 bit install of Windows. It just means that any application pool that contains Perl content must be configured to run as 32 bit. As of this writing, ActivePerl runs well on IIS 7, but its installer does not properly configure IIS 7 for running Perl scripts. Normally I would put the full path of the file in that it is looking for, but I don't know where it would be. Should the db_file module be placed in the Perl/site/lib directory? I think my host only put it in the /lib/ directory.Mark. No, the above error message confirms what I suspected: The location of DB_File.pm is okay. However, DB_File.pm is just a Perl interface to the C library Berkely DB, and the latter seems to be missing. You mentioned in your first post in this thread that your provider 'says he has put the files into the /lib/ section'. Installing DB_File comprises more than placing a.pm file in a directory. Maybe your provider doesn't know very much about Perl. Maybe you should change provider. -- Gunnar Hjalmarsson Email: http://www.gunnar.cc/cgi-bin/contact.pl. I don't know about step by step, especially for somebody who is not 'into' perl, but here is the applicable FAQ: -- Gunnar Hjalmarsson Email: http://www.gunnar.cc/cgi-bin/contact.pl. I am attempting to install Net::LDAP on Strawberry Perl 64-bit (v5.26.2) without success. The command line 'cpanm' fails and points to a build.log. It appears that files are not located where they are expected, leading me to think that some system environment variables are missing or have not been set to the correct directories. Subsequent searches for the 'missing' files are successful. I also tried using the CPAN tool from the All Programs, and a standalone install and these failed in the PL2BAT.bat attempting to copy file from unknown directories. Any ideas on how to set up the directory structure to work or system variables will be welcomed.
